World Trade Center - In Memoriam

I took the first picture on a pleasant summer afternoon, with kids playing in the park at Chambers Street and
Greenwich Ave. in New York. I loved this park, and the juxtaposition of the Trade Center Towers looming beyond the tiny gazebo.
I took the second picture on a sober overcast day two weeks after the World Trade Center tragedy, when they finally let us back into the area. I hope that someday I can enjoy the park again without feeling an overwhelming sense of sorrow.
